EV Charger Installation in Los Angeles

Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Wallbox, and universal Level 2 chargers — installed fast, permitted, inspected.

Starting from$650
Typical job½ day

Installing a Level 2 home charger properly means more than mounting a box on the wall. It requires a dedicated 240V circuit, a load calculation against your existing panel, correct wire gauge for your vehicle's current draw, and a city permit. We do all of it, including the LADWP rebate paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to upgrade my panel before installing an EV charger?
Sometimes. A 100A panel can usually support one Level 2 charger with a load-managed installation. A 200A panel is more comfortable, especially for households with two EVs, a heat pump, or electric cooking. We run a load calculation as part of the estimate and will tell you honestly if an upgrade is needed first.
Can I get a rebate for installing a charger?
LADWP offers rebates up to $1,500 for residential Level 2 chargers and up to $500 for panel upgrades required to support them. SCE and other utilities have similar programs. We prepare the paperwork as part of the install.
How long does installation take?
Most single-charger installs are completed in 3–5 hours. The timeline gets longer if the charger location is far from the panel, if trenching is needed, or if a sub-panel is required.
Should I get the Tesla Wall Connector or a universal charger?
If you only plan to charge Teslas, the Wall Connector is the cleanest option and is the fastest for Tesla vehicles. If you plan to ever drive any non-Tesla EV, a universal J1772 charger (ChargePoint, Wallbox, etc.) will work on everything including Teslas with the included adapter.
